Welcome to my Resource Page for one of the best motorcycles ever built: the Kawasaki EX and Ninja 500. One of Kawasaki's best selling models, it's been in production since 1987 and offers something for everyone. It's inexpensive, fast and easy to ride. It offers sport bike styling, but with a comfortable riding position. Men and women alike find the EX to be a great road bike as well as a capable race bike and is as fun for a rider just beginning as it is for an expert. No other bike even comes close!

I've had two of these motorcycles myself:

1987 EX500

This was my first sport bike and it was also the first year of the EX 500. The "Ninja" decal on the side wasn't stock, as these bikes had not yet become an official member of Kawasaki's line of Ninja sport bikes. I think it deserved the name though.

1996 Ninja 500

This is the second generation of the EX, now officially carrying the Ninja name. It's all stock except for the lower Lockhart fairing that I had custom painted to match the factory color perfectly. It's just as fun to ride as my first EX!

Having become such a fan of this particular model, I decided to create this page with some information about the EX and Ninja 500 for anyone interested in buying one of these bikes, either new or used.
